© Pont Alexandre 3 - Alexandre NestoraFrance has a long tradition as a major import and producer country. For the first time in the History of the International Softwood Conference, both partners, the producers represented by FNB and the users represented by LCB have decided to join thier efforts for the organization of this international event.

Given its international influence, Paris has been chosen to host the conference. The French Capital is a marvelous place to mix business, tourism, history and arts !

So we are naturally very pleased to invite the ISC community to our beautiful and exciting French capital.

The year’s Conference © Notre dame de Paris - Alexandre Nestorawill take place against the backdrop of still challenging economic conditions. Although positive signs are reported in some markets, the recovery is still regarded as fragile. In such demanding business environments, it is naturally very interesting to share and discuss the key issues, to identify trends and explore together how best to address them.

Besides examining both supply and demand side issues, the Conference will as ever provide a unique occasion for networking and a range of further opportunities for us to unpack some of the other challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

And, above all, there will be a fascinating Conference programme which will be remembered, in a great city that cannot be forgotten.

We look forward to seeing you all in October.
